Correction of Myopia Evaluation Trial 2 (COMET2)

This is a 3-year study of the progression of myopia in nearsighted children who have trouble focusing and whose eyes have a tendency to turn inwards in some situations.

COMET2 is studying whether wearing progressive addition lenses is better for slowing the progression of nearsightedness than wearing single vision lenses for children with these characteristics. One hundred children will be enrolled at 8 eye care centers in the United States.
