In the Visual Perception Lab, we use behavioral methods to study human visual performance. We are working with infants to understand why normal infants do not see as well as adults, and to develop a new test for contrast sensitivity in patients who cannot read an eye chart. We also study color vision in adults. We are currently using color naming, visual search, and color difference scaling to study the relationship between color perception and cognition.
