Q&A
What brought you to the College of Optometry?
The welcoming and supportive atmosphere was evident from the start, especially with Dr. Mike Earley running the show on Visit Day. During interviews, it was clear that Ohio State would provide the most comprehensive education and set me up for success no matter which direction I wanted to take my career.
Describe your typical day at work or describe your position/role.
I work in the clinic with students in the Contact Lens, Primary Care, and Pickerington clinics.
What brings you the most joy in your work?
I enjoy helping things click for the students and improving their confidence as they prepare to practice in the real world. I especially enjoy enhancing their clinical skills with contact lenses and inspiring them to see how much they can improve someone’s quality of life with the right lens.
What do you do for fun outside of work?
I spend a lot of time playing video games and board games with friends. A recent favorite is the social deduction game Blood on the Clocktower. I also love amusement parks and make regular trips to Cedar Point and Kings Island.
What is your favorite thing to do in Columbus?
I love going to Gateway Film Center to see a new movie or a screening of an older film, and then stopping at the bar Game Arena right downstairs for some food and gaming.
