What brought you to the College of Optometry?
I was drawn to the diverse research collaboration opportunities at the Data Coordination and Analysis Center. I was also excited to work alongside some of the most respected researchers in the field of Optometry.
Describe your typical day at work or describe your position/role.
I work with the faculty members and students at the College of Optometry to devise a statistical analysis plan to answer their research questions and collaborate with them to produce sample size and power analyses, statistical analyses, and draft reports and summaries that form the basis for data analysis section of their grant applications and manuscripts. I also answer their questions about statistical methods.
What brings you the most joy in your work?
I love interacting with amazing people here every day and actively contributing to the research.
What advice would you give to a new employee at the college?
Ask questions and be open to help and advice! The team here is so warm and welcoming; it really makes life much easier.
What do you do for fun outside of work?
I spend most of my time outside work with my three-year-old son, who is the biggest source of joy in my life! I also enjoy reading books, listening to audiobooks and quality podcasts, cooking and eating a variety of food cuisines.
What is your go to Columbus/neighborhood eatery?
I love Neehee's Indian Vegetarian Restaurant in Dublin, which offers an authentic variety of Indian street food 😊 I would recommend their Pav-bhaji, which is one of my favorites.
