Golden Grads Gather to Celebrate and Reminisce
Time and Change: 50 years of friendship with the Class of 1973.
The Ohio State Optometry Class of 1973 celebrated their 50th reunion during Golden Graduates Weekend on campus in September.
On Friday night, they enjoyed a special dinner at the Faculty Club with honored guests Karla Zadnik, OD PhD, former college secretary, Jim Noe, and former faculty member Jack King, PhD. Dr. King, who taught anatomy at the college from 1969 to 1990, received a standing ovation. Reunion Chair Jeff Timko (OD’73) gave a moving speech about the importance of giving back to Ohio State Optometry and recalled a fun memory about each classmate present at the dinner.
Some of the graduates also enjoyed a tour of our new clinic building led by current students, as well as a football game at the ‘Shoe.
