1968 Mini Reunion Recap

By Carl Carter (OD’68)

Ohio State Optometry’s Class of 1968 had a mini reunion celebrating 57 years since graduation. Two of our class members live in The Villages in Central Florida and invited several of their classmates to a fun-filled weekend, March 28-31, 2025. Rod Bellows (OD’68), one of the “Village People,” hosted a taco dinner on Friday night, and Arnie Lagraff (OD’68), the other resident, hosted a cocktail hour prior to an excellent dinner at the Chop House at Lake Sumter Villages on Saturday night. The meals were both great, but the highlight was catching up with “old” friends and classmates. Carl Carter (OD’68) drove up from Delray Beach, Florida, Mark Eger (OD’68) from Fort Myers, Florida, Craig Willoth (OD’68) from Rochester, New York, and Chuck Glanville (OD’68) from Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Two other classmates, Larry Barger (OD’68) and Gail Herron (OD’68), were unable to join the festivities due to health issues. So, we drank a toast to them and others who were unable to join us. Each attendee reveled in the memories of Ohio State, Epsilon Psi Epsilon, and all the great years we spent together practicing optometry in our chosen locations. It is truly amazing how quickly those 57 years have passed and how well we recall all of the good times.
