Kelsy Steele OD, MS, a student in the vision science graduate program at The Ohio State University College of Optometry, has been named as this year's recipient of the Barr Stiegemeier Award for the Advancement of Cornea and Contact Lens Education in the College of Optometry.

This award was established by Drs. Joe Barr and Mary Jo Stiegemeier in 2018 to annually support the research of a graduate student in the College of Optometry who demonstrates a specific interest in enhancing his or her cornea and contact lens education and knowledge. As the 2020 recipient, Dr. Steele will receive funds to conduct her research study titled 'A Comparison of Gas Permeable Contact Lens Cleaning Solution Removal Methods'.
