Startup Inventor Showcase Features Dr. Melissa Bailey on March 16
The Center for Clinical and Translational Science Monthly Startup Inventor Showcase will feature Melissa Bailey, OD, PhD, on Monday, Mar. 16 at 7:30 a.m. in the James L035 conference room.
Dr. Bailey is the co-founder of two startups – Sight4All and LenTechs. Sight4All is based on The Eye Scan App (TESA), which enables a smart device to perform vision exams and measurements. Lentechs is developing a novel soft bifocal contact lens.
The series, designed to help foster the entrepreneurial spirit in the Ohio State ecosystem, features one inventor and one key resource each month. Inventors share stories of their successes, failures, struggles and rewards from building a startup. Registration is free, but required through the CCTS website. Ohio State’s Corporate Engagement Office and Nationwide Children’s Hospital Office of Technology Commercialization are partners in the series.
