Dr. Mawada Osman Appointed as Assistant Professor of Clinical Optometry
Dr. Mawada Osman, OD MS FAAO, has been appointed as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Optometry in The Ohio State University College of Optometry, effective July 1, 2022.
Dr. Osman earned her OD and MS degrees from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 2020, followed by the completion of a Community Health/Primary Care residency at the Cherry Health Center in Grand Rapids, MI. She has served as an #OSUopt clinical faculty member since August 2021 and currently is our Director of Outreach.
Dr. Osman is a valued colleague and excellent clinical teacher, and she embraces this expanded role as she joins the clinical faculty.
The Search Committee observed, ”[Dr. Osman] provides a unique lens that will help our college embrace the shared values of the university, and she will focus on race and health equity in optometry.”
