Binocular Vision and Pediatrics Forum Registration Now Open!
The Ohio State University College of Optometry will host the annual Binocular Vision and Pediatrics (BVP) Forum on Friday, March 14 in Hamilton Hall, Room 80. The forum is a unique, day-long conference that focuses on BVP education for eye care professionals. This year's speaker is Maureen Plaumann, OD, PhD, FAAO, Dipl AAO, Binocular Vision, Perception, and Pediatric Optometry Section.
Dr. Plaumann will lecture on the following topics:
Morning (4 hours)
8:30 a.m. - Pediatric Exams: What to Do for the Young Hyperope in Your Chair (1 hour)
9:30 a.m. - My Patient Can't See! Diagnosis and Management of Visual Conversion Disorder or Psychogenic Amblyopia (1 hour)
10:30 a.m. - Caring for Patients with Neurodevelopmental Disorders (2 hours)
Lunch
Afternoon (3 hours)
1:30 p.m. - IXT for the OD: An Evidence-Based Update for Non-Surgical Management of Intermittent Exotropia (1 hour)
2:30 p.m. - Reduced Vision in Peds: It's Not Always Amblyopia! (1 hour)
3:30 p.m. - Managing Adult Amblyopia in a Primary Care Setting (1 hour)
