Ohio State Optometry in the News: BVD

Videos about Binocular Vision Dysfunction (BVD) have taken TikTok by storm. To better understand this phenomenon, WDTN-TV's Lauren Wood interviewed Ohio State Optometry professors Dr. Marjean Kulp and Dr. David Damari, as well as student Ian Binns.

BVD symptoms include headaches, dizziness, anxiety, and difficulty driving or reading. Rather than self-diagnosing based on information from TikTok videos, #OSUopt experts say that visiting your optometrist is the best way to determine if you have BVD. Treatment is typically straightforward and effective.
