There are big changes at the College of Optometry! The Class of 2016 is now using the brand new 2nd floor Fry Hall Pre-Clinic area. Those have been the status quo for Ohio State optometry students for over 50 years, but not anymore - they have all disappeared.

Toppled Top Update

Friday a week ago (9/14/12), the Guardians of the Toppled Top returned to the College of Optometry for Alumni Weekend. Everyone had dinner at the Longaberger Alumni House, where the Toppled Top was passed around the table and admired by all. The next morning, at the Optometry Alumni Tailgate, Dean Melvin Shipp explained to everyone the history of the Top and what the College hopes to accomplish with it. Then the Guardians presented it to him to put on display at the College.

Woody and the boys were on a winning streak, and they delivered again that night, going on to win the Rose Bowl. Afterwards, the fans were legally allowed to topple the goal posts for the last time in OSU history, and they paraded them around the University with pride.
