A message from Michael V. Drake, MD, President, The Ohio State University
Dear Ohio State Community:
I write to share important new information about requirements that employees work from home and building closures, including recreational sports indoor facilities and university libraries.
An important message for our valued patients.
Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) global pandemic, OSU Optometry Services will be closed beginning Monday, March 16, 2020 until further notice.
Thank you for your patience and understanding of our efforts to limit the spread of the virus and protect the health and safety of our patients, faculty, staff, students, and community. We will call to reschedule your appointment once we re-open.
New COVID-19 information emerges almost by the minute. Ohio has been described as a leader in the public health efforts to limit its spread, to “flatten the curve” so that the number of cases stays below the capacity of our healthcare system. That will ensure that you and your loved ones, particularly those at risk, have the healthcare you need.
Email will be the primary form of communication for the latest COVID-19 updates pertinent to College of Optometry students, faculty and staff. Please check your email accounts often. Messages will address academic, clinic, research and human resources concerns.
