A fast growing practice is looking to bring on a second doctor starting in June of 2018. We are looking for an enthusiastic Doctor who is excited about Optometry! This full-scope practice will allow the associate to manage any type of patient condition. An associate with an interest in Vision Therapy is encouraged to apply, as we will be starting a new Vision Therapy program soon after the new office space is completed. The associate will practice full-scope primary care Optometry, with patients of all ages and backgrounds. We encourage specialty contact lenses, management of disease, co-management of ocular surgery etc....
The ideal candidate would live nearby, becoming part of the growing community. They would also be enthusiastic, friendly, caring, willing to go above and beyond to help our patients, and be willing to help grow this new practice! The candidate will ideally continue to look for new ways to expand their clinical prowess and expand the practices' offerings. Although we have staff to perform all the insurance billing, the candidate must be willing to learn and understand medical and vision billing practices.
Our practice will be an approved preceptor site for the graduating class of 2020 at SCO, so any associate must be excited to help mentor the next generation of eye care professionals.
The position at the private practice will start as Part-Time (3 days/week), and can move into full-time as the practice continues to grow. Our new building is scheduled for completion in August of 2018, at which time we will be able to accommodate an associate into our practice. The position will start at 3 days of patient care at our full-scope private practice. Dr. Hite also currently owns a lease on a Walmart Vision Center that can offer the associate an additional 2 days a week of patient care (bringing the position to 5 days a week), this portion of the position can start as early as the new associate would like, even before the new building is complete. The associate is welcome to moonlight elsewhere if desired. As the private practice position grows, moonlighting can be reduced to work at the practice more full-time.
The position will have a base salary and quarterly bonuses based on production. The more the associate is willing to work hard and help expand this growing practice, the higher the potential income will be.
Benefits include at least two weeks of paid vacation, IRA retirement matching, continuing education expenses, liability insurance, medical panel accrediting fees, a monthly stipend for medical insurance coverage, AOA and State Dues, licensing, and life insurance.
North Range Eye Care was established as a cold-start private practice in August of 2013, three months after Dr. David Hite's graduation from Southern College of Optometry. Built from scratch, this practice is vibrant and growing! North Range is the first and only private eye care practice in the area, our nearest competition is 20 minutes away. In August of 2018 we will complete construction of our new 3,000 sq ft office space. The new building will allow us to have additional Doctors seeing patients, we are hoping to make the transition from a single doctor practice to a multi-doctor practice at that same time.
Our practice keeps hitting new strides and breaking through new ceilings of growth! Along every step of the way, we learn to adapt and improve our efficiency and our patient care. Bringing on an associate and our new building are the next adventure that awaits us!
The practice is situated in the growing northern part of Commerce City. The area is full of growing families, new sub developments being built, new schools being built, and new commercial expansion. The area has come to be known as "Reunion". It is situated 10 minutes to the north-west of Denver International Airport and only 20 minutes from downtown Denver. It is close enough to the city to have access to all the benefits of a big city, but far enough away to be quiet and not have any traffic!
Our patient base ranges from infants to the elderly, with the main part of our base as young families with one to two children. Families in the area are establishing themselves with first time home ownership, ability to commute short distances for their work, and to have new schools being built for their children. Our patients don't overspend, but they also don't scrimp. It is a good balance where they are willing to pay for and trust our recommendations.
As a primary care office the majority of our patients are straight-forward in their examination. However we have a growing base of Glaucoma, Dry Eye, and other eye disease management. We have about two dozen patients in Scleral lenses for various reasons, and those numbers continue to grow. We have every piece of equipment needed to diagnose, manage, and treat to Optometry's full scope in Colorado, including Topography, Pachymetry, Optomap, Fundus Camera, Cirrus OCT, and ocular ultrasound. We take care of our patients up to the point of surgical intervention.
Our new office space in 2018 will have two ancillary testing rooms, a private OD office space, manager's room, Vision Therapy room, 5-6 possible exam lanes, staff space, contact lens room, and an optical lab that includes lens finishing. We have a full service optical that is not overly populated with frames, allowing us to pick and choose frames that our patients will love.
We currently have four full-time staff members, when we move in 2018 we will be hiring another Optician to make it five in total. All our staff members were hired for personality and trained on the job, so we have a very stable staff that enjoy coming to work! Everyone is cross-trained or becoming so, so we all help each other out during busy times. Everyone has an attitude of helping out and making the office run smoothly.
Our office believes in striving to give each of our patients the best possible care. We make real recommendations for optical/contact lenses based on the patients actual problems and lifestyle demands. We are not striving to "upsell", we are honest and believe that making good recommendations without a pressured sales environment shows the patient that our goal is to help them with their needs.
Looking forward, we hope to the only eye care provider in the area for as long as possible. Our new building and bringing on a second doctor are our next steps in solidifying our presence in the area. We hope that whoever joins us will have the same dedication to our patients as we have over the last four years.
