Match Madness
It is always a great day to be a Buckeye, but on March 3, 2026, it was an exceptional day to be a Buckeye when the 2026-27 ORMatch residency results were released. Just like Ohio State’s football team, optometry students excelled.
When you compare Ohio State Optometry residency statistics to the national average, you will see that a higher percentage of Ohio State students complete a residency: 30-40% compared to 20% nationally. When the results are released, approximately 90-100% of the students match on Match Day, compared to 70-80% nationally. This is the Buckeye Advantage on full display!
Congratulations to the 21 Buckeyes who matched.
